NET Inhouse Redefines Execution Excellence in In-Building Fibre Deployment

TKI is setting a new standard for in-building fibre deployment with NET Inhouse, its latest digital innovation designed to simplify, accelerate, and professionalise one of the most complex parts of the fibre rollout journey.

In fibre rollout, success is no longer defined by strategy alone. It is defined by execution. As operators, delivery partners, and contractors face growing labour shortages, rising project complexity, and increasing pressure to deliver faster, the need for smarter, more connected execution has never been greater.

Fragmented workflows, manual documentation, delayed approvals, and repeated site visits continue to drive unnecessary cost, reduce transparency, and slow time to revenue.

NET Inhouse is built to solve this challenge

Developed as an extension of NET Cloud, TKI’s network documentation solution, NET Inhouse is a new 3D software platform that maps cable routes inside buildings as a digital twin and connects the full in-building process in one seamless digital environment. From the first site survey to planning, owner approval, construction support, quality assurance, and as-built documentation, NET Inhouse brings every step together in a single workflow.

The solution was born out of a clear market need. A major operator was looking for a better way to replace traditional PDF-based installation protocols with a more intuitive 3D model. In many cases, building owners struggled to understand conventional 20-page installation documents and therefore delayed approvals. This became a real bottleneck for FTTH deployment.

At the core of NET Inhouse is the LiDAR sensor on the iPad, used to capture buildings in 3D. The digital twin is then created in the Unity development environment, introducing interactive and gamification-inspired elements into traditional construction and documentation workflows. The result is a more intuitive and efficient process for planning, communication, approvals, execution, and quality control.

The All-in-One Platform for In-Building Fibre Workflows

NET Inhouse is designed to support the entire in-building fibre workflow. The platform enables 3D site surveys with LiDAR, on-site planning and installation documentation, owner approval through web-based 3D models, automatic material list generation, construction support through 3D visualisation, AI-driven quality assurance, automated documentation, and more efficient network operations through the seamless connection of fibre records with the digital twin.

In practical terms, teams can scan a building, plan the route, obtain sign-off, and capture the as-built status in one place, using only a phone or tablet in the field. Data is captured digitally on site and made available in real time via the web interface. Automated reports and structured approval workflows speed up handovers and invoicing, while digital twins deliver full traceability, stronger quality control, and centralised project visibility.

The business impact is clear. NET Inhouse reduces manual work, avoids errors, lowers project cost, and improves liquidity through faster acceptance and billing. At the same time, real-time dashboards increase transparency on progress and resources, while standardised digital reports enhance professionalism, strengthen brand perception, and demonstrate innovation and sustainability.

Driving Innovation in In-Building Fibre

NET Inhouse has also been shortlisted at this year’s FTTH Innovation Awards. This recognition reinforces TKI’s commitment to driving the digital transformation of fibre networks through a holistic and innovative approach.

As CEO Dr. Matthias Pohler explains:

“Being nominated for the FTTH Council Europe Innovation Award is a strong recognition of the vision and innovation behind both NET Scan and NET Inhouse, our latest innovation. With NET Inhouse, we are redefining how in-building fibre networks are planned, built, and operated. By combining real-time 3D capture, intelligent workflows, AI-driven quality assurance, and seamless digital twin integration, we are setting a new standard for efficiency, precision, and end-to-end transparency.”

With NET Inhouse, TKI is not just digitising another part of the rollout process. It is redefining how in-building fibre delivery is planned, executed, documented, and operated with greater speed, clarity, and control.
